History

Dance Crazy is a 501c3 non-profit organization that was founded in 2005 by Susan Robbiano and a group of local volunteer ballroom dancers.

Dance Crazy has taught ballroom dance to more than 2,600 children.

Elementary schools that have participated include Albany School of the Humanities, Abram Lansing, A.W. Becker, Ichabod Crane, Pieter B. Coeymans, Glen Worden, Latham Ridge, Lincoln, Martin Luther King, PS16 Troy, Rosendale, Rensselaer Park, Slingerlands, Tesago, Yates, Zoller and Goff Middle School.

The Dance Crazy Program

Ballroom dance is the vehicle used to teach positive life skills that will have lifeā€“long benefits:
  • consideration and respect for others
  • good sportsmanship
  • teamwork
  • school pride
  • and goal-setting
We are committed to growing this program to reach more children and to share the love of ballroom dancing.
