About Us
History
Dance Crazy is a 501c3 non-profit organization that was founded in 2005 by Susan Robbiano and a group of local volunteer ballroom dancers.
Dance Crazy has taught ballroom dance to more than 2,700 children.
Elementary schools that have participated include:
Albany School of Humanities, Abram Lansing, A.W. Becker, Goff Middle School, Hamilton, Ichabod Crane, Pieter B. Coeymans, Glen Worden, Latham Ridge,
Lincoln, Martin Luther King, Pine Hills, PS 16 Troy, Renssealer Park, Rosendale, Slingerlands, Tesago, Van Rensselaer, Yates And Zoller.
The Dance Crazy Program
Ballroom dance is the vehicle used to teach positive life skills that will have lifeālong benefits:
- consideration and respect for others
- good sportsmanship
- teamwork
- school pride
- and goal-setting
We are committed to growing this program to reach more children and to share the love of ballroom dancing.
